The Final Testament
We have sent you (O Rashad) to this community, just as we did for other communities in the past. You shall recite to them what we reveal to you, for they have disbelieved in the Most Gracious. Say, "He is my Lord. There is no god except He. I put my trust in Him alone; to Him is my ultimate destiny."*

Thus have We sent you as a Messenger[1] to a community before which many other communities have passed away that you may recite to them whatever We have revealed to you. And yet they deny the Lord of Mercy.[2] Say to them: "He is my Lord, there is no god but Him. In Him I have placed all my trust and to Him I shall return."

That is, in this way that We have not given you a sign they demanded.

That is, instead of serving that most Compassionate Lord, they are discarding His service and setting up other partners in His attributes, powers, rights and giving thanks to others for His blessings.
