The Final Testament
O people, if you have any doubt about resurrection, (remember that) we created you from dust, and subsequently from a tiny drop, which turns into a hanging (embryo), then it becomes a fetus that is given life or deemed lifeless. We thus clarify things for you. We settle in the wombs whatever we will for a predetermined period. We then bring you out as infants, then you reach maturity. While some of you die young, others live to the worst age, only to find out that no more knowledge can be attained beyond a certain limit. Also, you look at a land that is dead, then as soon as we shower it with water, it vibrates with life and grows all kinds of beautiful plants.

O mankind! If you have any doubt concerning Resurrection, then know that it is surely We Who created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm,[1] then from a clot of blood, then from a little lump of flesh, some of it shapely and other shapeless.[2] (We are rehearsing this) that We may make the reality clear to you. We cause (the drop of sperm) that We please to remain in the wombs till an appointed time. We bring you forth as infants (and nurture you) that you may come of age. Among you is he that dies (at a young age) and he who is kept back to the most abject age so that after once having known, he reaches a stage when he knows nothing.[3] You see the earth dry and barren and then no sooner than We send down water upon it, it begins to quiver and swell and brings forth every kind of beauteous vegetation.

"We have created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm": The first man Adam was created directly from clay and after him the process of procreation started by means of sperm-drop. This has been stated in Surah AsSajda, Ayats 7-8 as well. It may also mean that man is created from sperm-drop but his body is made of those elements which are all available in the earth.

This refers to the different stages of development of the child in the womb of its mother. This description is based on observation and not on scientific research, and there was no need for it for the purpose for which reference to this has been made here.

That is, in old age man is again reverted to the same condition in which he was in childhood. He loses his senses and knows little or nothing like a child.

O humanity! O’ mankind, if you have any doubt about [the Lord’s promised] resurrection, consider this: I am the One Who created the first man from earthly materials and then established the following system for your evolution. You were a tiny egg, then I turned you into a piece of an almost dried blood, out of which I brought up a little lump of flesh. Some embryos survive and some are miscarried. I am telling you all this in detail to make it plain to you. Thus the surviving embryos will stay in the wombs of their mother for a fixed period of time. I bring you then to this world1 as an infant and help you to grow and reach the height of your strength. Some of you die earlier and some of you are destined to see you miserable old ages, when you will forget all you knew. As an another example for the possibility of Resurrection, consider a dead land. As soon as I sent My rain, it becomes alive and give birth to all kinds of vegetation.

And there are some of you who are called to death (early) and there are others of you who are made to live to the worst part of life; a miserable very old age, with the result that they know nothing after (having had) knowledge. While the earth appears to you lifeless and barren, it throbs (with life) and swells (with growth) and puts forth every kind of beautiful herbage, when We send down water upon it.

O Mankind! If you are in doubt that humanity will one day stand at its feet, and that you will be resurrected back to life after death, consider the process of your own evolution. We have created you in stages: From dust, then from male and female gametes, then from a zygote, then from an embryo, shapely and first shapeless. We thus clearly explain things for you. The embryo and then the fetus stay in the womb until an appointed term according to Our Laws. Then We bring you forth as infants and carry you to maturity. Bunlar, toprağın yükünsel ögelerinin titreşmesi, toprağın kabarması ve bitkilerin erkek ve dişi biçiminde ürün vermesi olarak sıralanır. Bitkilerin, betonları çatlatacak denli güçlü basınç düzenleri, suyu metrelerce yukarıya çıkaracak güçte pompaları vardır. Evrim Kuramı'nı ortaya atan Darwin bile, şöyle demiştir: "Bitkilerin birdenbire gelişimlerinden daha olağanüstü bir olay yoktur."

Mugdatin(مضغة) kelimesine çiğnem adı verilmiştir. Isırılmış et parçası ve embriyo anlamına gelir. Isırılıp bırakılmış et parçasında dişler iz bırakır. Gelişmekte olan embriyonun omurga kemiklerinin oluşmaya başladığı bölgede de tıpkı buna benzer bir iz vardır.

Allah, herkesin doğru yolda olmasını ister ({{4:26}}Nisa 4/26{{/}}) ama sadece doğru şeyler yapanı doğru yolda sayar ({{24:46}}Nur 24/46{{/}}). Yaptığının doğru veya yanlış olduğunu da kişiye ilham eder. Onun için doğru davrananın içi rahat, yanlış davrananın içi de sıkıntılı olur ({{91:7}}Şems 91/7{{/}}-{{91:10}}10{{/}}). Buna göre şae (شاء) fiilinin öznesi Allah olursa "gerekeni yaptı veya yarattı", insan olursa "gerekeni yaptı" anlamında olur. Allah insanlara, tercihlerine göre davranma hürriyeti vermeseydi hiç kimse yanlış bir şey yapamaz ve imtihan diye bir şey de olmazdı ({{16:93}}Nahl 16/93{{/}}). Yanlış kader anlayışını imanın bir esası gibi İslam'a yerleştirmek isteyenler, büyük bir çarpıtma yaparak şae (شاء) fiiline irade yani isteme ve dileme anlamı vermiş; bunu, tefsirlere hatta sözlüklere bile yerleştirerek birçok ayetin mealini bozmuşlardır.
