بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
1
قَدْ سَمِعَ اللّٰهُ قَوْلَ الَّت۪ي تُجَادِلُكَ ف۪ي زَوْجِهَا وَتَشْتَك۪ٓي اِلَى اللّٰهِۗ وَاللّٰهُ يَسْمَعُ تَحَاوُرَكُمَاۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَم۪يعٌ بَص۪يرٌ
Qad samiAAa Allahu qawla allatee tujadilukafee zawjiha watashtakee ila Allahi wallahuyasmaAAu tahawurakuma inna Allaha sameeAAunbaseer
GOD has heard the woman who debated with you about her husband, and complained to GOD. GOD heard everything the two of you discussed. GOD is Hearer, Seer.
2
اَلَّذ۪ينَ يُظَاهِرُونَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ نِسَٓائِهِمْ مَا هُنَّ اُمَّهَاتِهِمْۜ اِنْ اُمَّهَاتُهُمْ اِلَّا الّٰٓئ۪ وَلَدْنَهُمْۜ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَيَقُولُونَ مُنْكَراً مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَزُوراًۜ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٌ
Allatheena yuthahiroonaminkum min nisa-ihim ma hunna ommahatihim inommahatuhum illa alla-ee waladnahumwa-innahum layaqooloona munkaran mina alqawli wazooran wa-innaAllaha laAAafuwwun ghafoor
Those among you who estrange their wives (by declaring them as forbidden in sex) as their mothers know full well that they are not their mothers. Their mothers are the women who gave birth to them. Indeed, they are committing a blasphemy and a falsehood. GOD is Pardoner, Forgiver.,
3
وَالَّذ۪ينَ يُظَاهِرُونَ مِنْ نِسَٓائِهِمْ ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ لِمَا قَالُوا فَـتَحْر۪يرُ رَقَـبَةٍ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَتَمَٓاسَّاۜ ذٰلِكُمْ تُوعَظُونَ بِه۪ۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَب۪يرٌ
Wallatheena yuthahiroonamin nisa-ihim thumma yaAAoodoona lima qaloofatahreeru raqabatin min qabli an yatamassa thalikumtooAAathoona bihi wallahu bimataAAmaloona khabeer
Those who estrange their wives in this manner, then reconcile thereafter, shall atone by freeing a slave before resuming their sexual relations. This is to enlighten you. GOD is Cognizant of everything you do.
4
فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَتَمَٓاسَّاۚ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَاِطْعَامُ سِتّ۪ينَ مِسْك۪يناًۜ ذٰلِكَ لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُولِه۪ۜ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّٰهِۜ وَلِلْكَافِر۪ينَ عَذَابٌ اَل۪يمٌ
Faman lam yajid fasiyamushahrayni mutatabiAAayni min qabli an yatamassafaman lam yastatiAA fa-itAAamu sitteenamiskeenan thalika litu/minoo billahiwarasoolihi watilka hudoodu Allahi walilkafireenaAAathabun aleem
If you cannot find a slave to free, you shall fast two consecutive months before resuming sexual relations. If you cannot fast, then you shall feed sixty poor people. You shall believe in GOD and His messenger. These are GOD's laws. The disbelievers have incurred a painful retribution.
5
اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ يُحَٓادُّونَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُولَهُ كُبِتُوا كَمَا كُبِتَ الَّذ۪ينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَقَدْ اَنْزَلْـنَٓا اٰيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍۜ وَلِلْكَافِر۪ينَ عَذَابٌ مُه۪ينٌۚ
Inna allatheena yuhaddoona Allahawarasoolahu kubitoo kama kubita allatheena minqablihim waqad anzalna ayatin bayyinatinwalilkafireena AAathabun muheen
Surely, those who fight GOD and His messenger are committed to defeat, like their previous counterparts were committed to defeat. We have sent down clear proofs, and the rejectors have incurred a shameful retribution.
6
يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللّٰهُ جَم۪يعاً فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُواۜ اَحْصٰيهُ اللّٰهُ وَنَسُوهُۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَه۪يدٌ۟
Yawma yabAAathuhumu Allahu jameeAAanfayunabbi-ohum bima AAamiloo ahsahu Allahuwanasoohu wallahu AAala kulli shay-inshaheed
The day will come when GOD will resurrect them all, then inform them of everything they had done. GOD has recorded everything, while they have forgotten it. GOD witnesses all things.
7
اَلَمْ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ مَا يَكُونُ مِنْ نَجْوٰى ثَلٰثَةٍ اِلَّا هُوَ رَابِعُهُمْ وَلَا خَمْسَةٍ اِلَّا هُوَ سَادِسُهُمْ وَلَٓا اَدْنٰى مِنْ ذٰلِكَ وَلَٓا اَكْثَرَ اِلَّا هُوَ مَعَهُمْ اَيْنَ مَا كَانُواۚ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَل۪يمٌ
Alam tara anna Allaha yaAAlamu mafee assamawati wama fee al-ardima yakoonu min najwa thalathatin illahuwa rabiAAuhum wala khamsatin illa huwa sadisuhumwala adna min thalika wala aktharailla huwa maAAahum ayna ma kanoo thummayunabbi-ohum bima AAamiloo yawma alqiyamati innaAllaha bikulli shay-in AAaleem
Do you not realize that GOD knows everything in the heavens and everything on earth? No three people can conspire secretly without Him being their fourth, nor five without Him being the sixth, nor less than that, nor more, without Him being there with them wherever they may be. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of everything they had done. GOD is fully aware of all things.
8
اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذ۪ينَ نُهُوا عَنِ النَّجْوٰى ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَيَتَنَاجَوْنَ بِالْاِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ الرَّسُولِۘ وَاِذَا جَٓاؤُ۫كَ حَيَّوْكَ بِمَا لَمْ يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ اللّٰهُۙ وَيَقُولُونَ ف۪ٓي اَنْفُسِهِمْ لَوْلَا يُعَذِّبُنَا اللّٰهُ بِمَا نَقُولُۜ حَسْبُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُۚ يَصْلَوْنَهَاۚ فَبِئْسَ الْمَص۪يرُ
Alam tara ila allatheena nuhooAAani annajwa thumma yaAAoodoona lima nuhooAAanhu wayatanajawna bil-ithmi walAAudwaniwamaAAsiyati arrasooli wa-itha jaookahayyawka bima lam yuhayyika bihi Allahuwayaqooloona fee anfusihim lawla yuAAaththibunaAllahu bima naqoolu hasbuhum jahannamu yaslawnahafabi/sa almaseer
Have you noted those who were enjoined from conspiring secretly, then insist on conspiring? They conspire to commit sin, transgression, and disobedience of the messenger. When they come to you, they greet you with a greeting other than that decreed by GOD. They say inside themselves, "GOD will not punish us for our utterances." Their only requital is Gehenna, wherein they burn; what a miserable destiny.
9
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا تَنَاجَيْتُمْ فَلَا تَتَنَاجَوْا بِالْاِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ الرَّسُولِ وَتَنَاجَوْا بِالْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوٰىۜ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ الَّـذ۪ٓي اِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha tanajaytum fala tatanajaw bil-ithmiwalAAudwani wamaAAsiyati arrasooliwatanajaw bilbirri wattaqwa wattaqooAllaha allathee ilayhi tuhsharoon
O you who believe, if you have to confer secretly, you shall not confer to commit sin, transgression, and to disobey the messenger. You shall confer to work righteousness and piety. You shall reverence GOD, before whom you will be summoned.
10
اِنَّمَا النَّجْوٰى مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ لِيَحْزُنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا وَلَيْسَ بِضَٓارِّهِمْ شَيْـٔاً اِلَّا بِـاِذْنِ اللّٰهِۜ وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Innama annajwa mina ashshaytaniliyahzuna allatheena amanoo walaysa bidarrihimshay-an illa bi-ithni Allahi waAAalaAllahi falyatawakkali almu/minoon
Secret conspiracy is the devil's idea, through which he seeks to hurt those who believed. However, he cannot hurt them against GOD's will. In GOD the believers shall trust.
11
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا ق۪يلَ لَكُمْ تَفَسَّحُوا فِي الْمَجَالِسِ فَافْسَحُوا يَفْسَحِ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْۚ وَاِذَا ق۪يلَ انْشُزُوا فَانْشُزُوا يَرْفَعِ اللّٰهُ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا مِنْكُمْۙ وَالَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَب۪يرٌ
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha qeela lakum tafassahoo fee almajalisifafsahoo yafsahi Allahu lakum wa-ithaqeela onshuzoo fanshuzoo yarfaAAi Allahu allatheenaamanoo minkum wallatheena ootoo alAAilmadarajatin wallahu bima taAAmaloonakhabeer
O you who believe, if you are told, "Please make room," you shall make room for each other to sit. GOD will then make room for you. If you are asked to get up and move, get up and move. GOD raises those among you who believe, and those who acquire knowledge to higher ranks. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.
12
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا نَاجَيْتُمُ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ نَجْوٰيكُمْ صَدَقَةًۜ ذٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَـكُمْ وَاَطْهَرُۜ فَاِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُورٌ رَح۪يمٌ
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha najaytumu arrasoola faqaddimoo baynayaday najwakum sadaqatan thalika khayrunlakum waatharu fa-in lam tajidoo fa-inna Allahaghafoorun raheem
O you who believe, when you wish to confer with the messenger, you shall offer a charity (to the poor) before you do so. This is better for you, and purer. If you cannot afford it, then GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
13
ءَاَشْفَقْتُمْ اَنْ تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ نَجْوٰيكُمْ صَدَقَاتٍۜ فَاِذْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا وَتَابَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاَق۪يمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَط۪يعُوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُولَهُۜ وَاللّٰهُ خَب۪يرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ۟
Aashfaqtum an tuqaddimoo bayna yaday najwakumsadaqatin fa-ith lam tafAAaloo watabaAllahu AAalaykum faaqeemoo assalatawaatoo azzakata waateeAAoo Allahawarasoolahu wallahu khabeerun bimataAAmaloon
If you failed to give to charity before conferring, then repented thereafter, GOD accepts your repentance. You shall observe the contact prayers (Salat), give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and obey GOD and His messenger. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.
14
اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذ۪ينَ تَوَلَّوْا قَوْماً غَضِبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْۜ مَا هُمْ مِنْكُمْ وَلَا مِنْهُمْۙ وَيَحْلِفُونَ عَلَى الْـكَذِبِ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
Alam tara ila allatheenatawallaw qawman ghadiba Allahu AAalayhim mahum minkum wala minhum wayahlifoona AAalaalkathibi wahum yaAAlamoon
Have you noted those who befriended people with whom GOD is angry? They neither belong with you, nor with them. They deliberately swear lies!
15
اَعَدَّ اللّٰهُ لَهُمْ عَذَاباً شَد۪يداًۜ اِنَّهُمْ سَٓاءَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
aAAadda Allahu lahum AAathabanshadeedan innahum saa ma kanoo yaAAmaloon
GOD has prepared for them a severe retribution. Miserable indeed is what they used to do.
16
اِتَّخَذُٓوا اَيْمَانَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُه۪ينٌ
Ittakhathoo aymanahum junnatanfasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi falahum AAathabunmuheen
They used their oaths as a means of repelling from the path of GOD. Consequently, they have incurred a shameful retribution.
17
لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ اَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَٓا اَوْلَادُهُمْ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْـٔاًۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ اَصْحَابُ النَّارِۚ هُمْ ف۪يهَا خَالِدُونَ
Lan tughniya AAanhum amwaluhum walaawladuhum mina Allahi shay-an ola-ika as-habuannari hum feeha khalidoon
Neither their money, nor their children will help them against GOD. They have incurred the hellfire, wherein they abide forever.
18
يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللّٰهُ جَم۪يعاً فَيَحْلِفُونَ لَهُ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ وَيَحْسَبُونَ اَنَّهُمْ عَلٰى شَيْءٍۜ اَلَٓا اِنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ
Yawma yabAAathuhumu Allahu jameeAAanfayahlifoona lahu kama yahlifoona lakum wayahsaboonaannahum AAala shay-in ala innahum humu alkathiboon
The Day will come when GOD resurrects them all. They will swear to Him then, just as they swear to you now, thinking that they really are right! Indeed, they are the real liars.
19
اِسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَاَنْسٰيهُمْ ذِكْرَ اللّٰهِۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ حِزْبُ الشَّيْطَانِۜ اَلَٓا اِنَّ حِزْبَ الشَّيْطَانِ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
Istahwatha AAalayhimu ashshaytanufaansahum thikra Allahi ola-ika hizbuashshaytani ala inna hizba ashshaytanihumu alkhasiroon
The devil has possessed them, and has caused them to disregard GOD's message. These are the party of the devil. Absolutely, the party of the devil are the losers.
20
اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ يُحَٓادُّونَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُولَهُٓ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ فِي الْاَذَلّ۪ينَ
Inna allatheena yuhaddoona Allahawarasoolahu ola-ika fee al-athalleen
Surely, those who oppose GOD and His messenger will be with the lowliest.
21
كَتَبَ اللّٰهُ لَاَغْلِبَنَّ اَنَا۬ وَرُسُل۪يۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَوِيٌّ عَز۪يزٌ
Kataba Allahu laaghlibanna anawarusulee inna Allaha qawiyyun AAazeez
GOD has decreed: "I and My messengers will most assuredly win." GOD is Powerful, Almighty.
22
لَا تَجِدُ قَوْماً يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ يُوَٓادُّونَ مَنْ حَٓادَّ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَوْ كَانُٓوا اٰبَٓاءَهُمْ اَوْ اَبْنَٓاءَهُمْ اَوْ اِخْوَانَهُمْ اَوْ عَش۪يرَتَهُمْۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ كَتَبَ ف۪ي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْا۪يمَانَ وَاَيَّدَهُمْ بِرُوحٍ مِنْهُۜ وَيُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهَارُ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَاۜ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ حِزْبُ اللّٰهِۜ اَلَٓا اِنَّ حِزْبَ اللّٰهِ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
La tajidu qawman yu/minoona billahiwalyawmi al-akhiri yuwaddoona man haddaAllaha warasoolahu walaw kanoo abaahumaw abnaahum aw ikhwanahum aw AAasheeratahum ola-ikakataba fee quloobihimu al-eemana waayyadahum biroohinminhu wayudkhiluhum jannatin tajree min tahtihaal-anharu khalideena feeha radiya AllahuAAanhum waradoo AAanhu ola-ika hizbu Allahiala inna hizba Allahi humu almuflihoon
You will not find people who believe in GOD and the Last Day befriending those who oppose GOD and His messenger, even if they were their parents, or their children, or their siblings, or their tribe. For these, He decrees faith into their hearts, and supports them with inspiration from Him, and admits them into gardens with flowing streams wherein they abide forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. These are the party of GOD. Most assuredly, GOD's party are the winners.
